What jobs do you think people work very hard for & in but you don't think they get the $$$ they deserve?

I know this is a very subjective question, but wanted to see people's thoughts

In my opinion, #1 underpaid is nursing and #2 flight attendant.

Teachers! We entrust them with what is most precious, our children. I would want the best people possible to be teachers.

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's)

All the gore, possible violence and headaches that paramedics see but without the pay.

Teachers, nurses, police officers. Highly responsible positions with woefully inadequate compensation.

While I agree being a teacher is a high responsibility job, it definitely is not as demanding nor difficult as some of the others you list. Being a teacher is actually a pretty relaxing job (I have acquaintances that are elementary & high school teachers)

I agree with above and would like to add:

(OTR) truckers.

What would our day look like if we didn't get those gas/grocery/etc deliveries for a week or 2.
Just after 2-3 days of ice storm we start breaking down.

Those truckers get paid pretty well...

I agree with EMTs and teachers. Nurses are well paid. In many cities the police are underpaid. Trucker pay varies, long haul interstate drivers can make a great living, but those just driving from port to warehouse or rail yard have many expenses but spend a lot of time sitting. I would also add assisted living and social workers.

People are worth what someone is willing to pay them. So by definition, no jobs are "underpaid".
