I don't from my "9-5" but about every other weekend I work another job on top of my "9-5" requiring 5-7 hours on top of 9-5 hours.

Before I retired I was an executive of a nonprofit organization; I only worked on weekends if I was behind in my work and brought it home, or if I was traveling to go to a meeting or conference.

Project manager at an architectural firm, never (or VERY rarely) work weekends but often have to be up at 3:00-4:00 in the morning to travel to project sites- either driving within the state or flying to other states for meetings.

I do deliveries, so I work every single Saturday, but I get Sunday off. I've managed to get the same weekday off, though, so it's nice I don't have to do 5 days straight, but it really kind of sucks not getting two straight days off. I end up wasting each day off doing things that I can't get done the other days. If I had a whole weekend I'd probably get that all done on Saturday and then relax Sunday. I'm looking to go back to school for IT, so hopefully I can get something more like a weekend rotation or something. In the thirteen years I've been working I've never had weekends off. I don't even know what that looks like except on TV.

I'm a research chemist. I don't work weekends, although I may occasionally have to fly back from a conference or a meeting on a Saturday.

The place I work is 24/7/365, shift work, sort of. For the most part, I work Friday thru Tuesday. And nights at that. I NEVER get a sat/sun weekend off (unless it's my vacation week). I COULD ask to be shifted over to get a weekend off, but you're made to feel like it's a PITA to be accommodated, even for a wedding or graduation. So I never ask. Just use vacation for things like that. And after more than 20 years it's one of the reasons, I'm done with this place mentally and dreaming of retirement. (still years away)

As a real estate appraiser, I hate working on weekends in the field because that's when I catch up on report writing. Every once in a while (like yesterday ) I run into someone who works such long hours that the weekends are the only time I can see the house. Gotta do what ya gotta do.
