there are two ways to look at this question:
what would i be doing if i didn't have to work at a job

or

what would i be doing if i could go back and pick another line of work to go into instead

if i didn't have to work at a job I would study and make art and read

if i could go back and pick another line of work instead, I would get into the work force sooner (instead of marrying so young) in accounting or data analyst. Then i could retire sooner and study, make art, and read

Been working on my backup for years, seems I live in an area where computer science jobs don't exist for 500 miles. Hard to move when you're buried in student loan debt.

Try freelancing...

And it sounds like you didnt do your research before choosing your major

Stick with the medical field.. Just the pay wasnt catching up to the demands back then.. IT seems to be the go too thing now and were a dime a dozen.

I'd have went into the medical field. It never crossed my mind until a few years ago. I realized I had an interest in it and think I would have done well.

It wasn't my back-up option though. Never really had one ..I just kinda did what I did

I would have gone into the medical field. Only reason I didn't was because I was a bit squeamish in my early 20's, but now I'm quite desensitized. I would have loved to have been a surgeon, as I love delicate, intricate operational type stuff. I feel I could have done quite well in this field and had the skill-set...minus the ability to see blood.

I'm in engineering now and established, so a little late to make the jump.

Stay at home mom in an ideal world. In reality, I would have pursued medical school.
