This would be in an office environment with a medium to high pressure job. I would just hate being stuck in an office with the same people everyday. And what if you don't like even one person? At least in a big office you can find your own group you like and avoid people you don't care for as much.

No, I currently work in an office of one and I am absolutely miserable. I rather work in a large office setting.

Depends on what I would be doing and the teammates.

If the work is something that I am passionate about and love, and the team is comprised of great employees, with good pay then yes.

Also, depends on the age. If younger I think no. Hard to move up, and seek more opportunities within at such a small company. If more towards my career and closer to retirement than anything else, then yes, for sure.

If you have an opportunity to work for a big company then why work at a small company?

I've worked at Fortune 500s and I would never choose that over a small-medium sized company again. You're just a cog in the machine in the big companies and subject to a bunch of nonsense policies, seasonal layoffs, and "TPS reports". Give me a smaller company with a better work-life balance, little to no red tape, and where I would have a bigger impact any day.

I worked in an office with 6 people for years. We went to lunch together almost every day. Often my wife and kids would come and go to lunch with us too. They came to our kids birthdays, plays, signing presentation. They all gave blood when one daughter needed surgery. It went both ways as well. Some of them were annoying or had bad habits or things. Eventually you overlook that.

10 years after I left, We are still all friends and stay in touch.

I would not call it awful.

I work in an office smaller than that but we are part of a much larger company. I don't mind being in the small office environment. I like the handful of people I work with and I also have the opportunity to travel and meet clients about once or twice a month. Without the travel and support from home office, I might not feel the same way.

My entire office (plus spouses) came to my wedding recently. It was nice to be able to invite them all. Often I feel like my coworkers are family.

If it's a good job take it.

Or, maybe not! You are negative before even starting. Not a very good sign for your future viability.

Any halfway competent person needs to determine if a job is a good fit and what they are looking for before taking it. Thats like saying an employer is being negative for rejecting you over another candidate.
