I'd quit tomorrow, once the money is parked in a very safe investment vehicle and I'm earning interest.

Maybe I like working and would get bored after a month or so especially in winter. On the other hand HR and their BS is getting out of hand at my workplace with them wasting big money on trendy software that are driving the workers miserable. I'd simply flat out tell them I don't mind continue working but keep the HR bimbos and their junk science away from me and let me do my job or go ahead and fire me.

I would consider leaving my desk job to focus on creative efforts (art, writing) and community involvement.

Nope. I could easily draw $500K per year from that without touching the principle. That's enough of a raise for me to pull the yellow handles.

Hell no I wouldn't work.

I'd hire a PJ to go around the country to pick up my friends and family and book rooms on a cruise ship and take all the people I love on a vaycay.

I'd keep my condo here in Fort Lauderdale but I'd buy a large, studio or one bedroom apartment in Manhattan.

The question avoids addressing money madness.

Consider the consequences if EVERYONE had 10 million deposited in their accounts.
If everybody ceases working, then what will all that wealth buy?
When no one needs to sell labor and goods for more money, the system collapses. Even the starving children are fabulously wealthy.

Then people will have to realize that producing surplus goods and services is what civilized people do, regardless of the money involved.

Probably not, seeing as I've been retired for 20 years.

I have everything I need, and most of the things I want. Probably spend about $500k on myself. I would then give enough to my nephew so that he would be free to do what he wanted, but not free to do nothing.

Absolutely not.

Why would anyone stay in slavery after they've been granted their freedom? Fear of the unknown? Unless someone is self-employed, and loved what they were doing, I can't imagine anyone loving their job so much that they'd say.

We'd buy an RV and travel across country for a few years, exploring every state in the union.
