Myself personally, yes. I used to be in commercial cleaning and one of the guys punched the supervisor for no justifiable reason. But that was considered very unusual, he was on drugs they thought.

U?

A couple of times as a supervisor I’ve had to had boyfriends of my reps kicked off the property when they came and the reps clearly didn’t want to talk to them. I don’t take that kind of thing lightly since a couple of years ago one of my mother’s coworkers was shot and killed on the grounds of her workplace over a domestic violence situation.

I work in an elementary school.

Not employee to employee, but student to student and student to adult violence is common.

Years ago a woman I work with was going through a divorce. Her soon-to-be ex husband came to the office and poured acid all over her car. We had to get the police involved, ensure our front doors were locked at all times and were all generally on high alert. I think he eventually went to jail for domestic assault.

Sorta threatened by a high school kid in my vocational class once.

"I'm gonna cut you with a knife !"
"Well Dwanye, HAVE you got a knife ?"
"Uh....no....not on me"

So I pulled mine out and offered it to him.....telling him everything after he took it out of my hand was self defense, and I was gonna beat the crap out of him.

He shut up and we went back to class.

Years ago, one of the partners at my law firm was sleeping with an office clerk's wife. When the husband found out, he chased the attorney through the firm with a baseball bat all the way out to the parking lot. The attorney was shaking and trying to unlock his car and "somebody" had written on it in paint, "F**k your own wife!" Of course the clerk was fired and the attorney took a vacation for the rest of the week.

Another partner repeatedly poked her assistant in the chest with her index finger after being warned to stop. The assistant (who was a former cop), hauled off and punched her in the face so hard the woman fell to the floor.
