Never took 2 weeks ever, before my current job. Just never enough time with a small child. I did take full weeks though, every other year we did a "big" trip. I just have always needed my days for other things (elderly parents and needing to do things for them, long weekend trips to visit my son, or weekends with BF, yard work/house projects, or whatever) so I just never really accrued enough to be able to splurge on the long vacations, but also my job makes it a bit difficult to find a 2-week span. Really only recently that I have started to see my balance go up (sadly that is somewhat due to my parents passing away last year). Also I just passed the 20-year accrual rate change and that has made quite a difference. At any rate, I have plenty now...of course I am retiring in 6 months LOL.
