ADP is the leader in small business payroll services and yes, will do payroll for one employee.

An important note - you must have Workers Comp Insurance even if you have a single employee. Some Workers Comp policies can include payroll processing (and vice versa, with, for example, ADP is offering WC insurance - not sure if they do it everywhere). It does depend on the state laws and regulations though.

Also, you might want to ask at your bank, they might offer the service or possibly a offer discount for using ADP with their referral, for example.

When I had only one employee I did the work myself, it's not that difficult. Once I got to 3 employees I started using ADP.
