I was scammed by 27 Online Business Programs | Learn from My Loss (broken link)

WARNING: Don't Get Scammed!

Are You At Risk Of Getting Scammed

Top List of Online Work At home Scams to Avoid:

(1)Anything with language promising to make you "Avalanches of Cash on Auto pilot". There is no such thing as something for nothing...making money online does require a little effort!

(2)Any work at home program that requires you to stuff envelopes and send them to hundreds of other people...most of these offers are real scams in my experience.

(3)Any email (especially from Nigeria) that tells you they need your help wiring $14,000,000 dollars out of their country, and for helping them do this, you will receive 40%! This is actually a very dangerous scam, and can result in the liquidation of any cash from your bank account if you provide the sender with your account numbers.

(4)I would strongly recommend avoiding programs that tell you to make hundreds of MFA (made for adsense) websites, or try to sell you software to do this. Google is currently eliminating MFA sites from their search databases as fast as they can, because these sites are usually junk, providing no real content for users. While you might actually make a few bucks in the short term doing this, in the end, you are going to get your websites banned from Google search results.

(5)Stay away from gambling sites (they are illegal in the USA).

(6)I have yet to find any paid survey programs that made me any money (I tried 3 different ones).

Actually those stuff envelops, mail boxes, etc. are sometimes not scams. You will get paid but you will also end up with the CIA and FBI at your doorstep. Saw something about a women who did that kind of job did not know what she was sending out all she knew was they were direct depositing into her account. Next thing she knew she almost ended up in jail.

What do you all think of going around and putting flyers on people's doors for extra money? There is a company advertising for people willing to do this for $200 per project. Would something like this be a scam too?

It's amazing what people come up with. Where I live, there is a large illegal alien population. People hire them to do a job, like paint your house, and call INS right before they're finished. That's a scam. A list of others is found on scams - report the scam here
