I would like to work for a charity or non-profit helping people full time but, I need income to support my family of 7 while doing so and was wondering if there was anyone who knew of a good way to get started or find something like that? I live in Orlando, Florida and would appreciate any assistance. Thank you.

That's admirable, but I don't know that it's a very good idea if you have a large family to support. Generally speaking, nonprofit jobs pay for **** unless you're in a senior-level or administrative position, or have mad skillz and experience in some area. What kind of job are you looking for? What is your area of expertise? I wouldn't expect to be able to support a family of seven on a typical nonprofit salary. But you can try http://www.idealist.org/. I just transitioned from working nonprofit jobs most of my adult life into a cushy government gig. Best move I ever made. I wish I'd done it sooner.

Some of the nonprofits that I contribute to have an employment link on their website.
