If someone is only pursuing ba in psychology, what kind of jobs she can get in new york city. This city is really over crowded and pricey but lol I have always lived here. Can someone do a civil service job? Please if anyone is from new york, give me some information.

Many entry level positions, just nothing specific to a profession (e.g. no nursing or accounting, etc.). You'll have a hard time just applying to on line posts. Network with family.

Best of luck.

It's not about your degree. It's about your skills. Type your question into Google for job title suggestions and begin to investigate those.

Anything not specific to a profession. So that is many many things - copywriter, administrative assistant, any kind of analyst, HR rep, sales rep, buyer, operations assistant, etc., etc.

It's about what skills you have that will narrow down the options. For example, if you know how to use a graphic design application you can look for a graphic design position.

I would also think social work is a good field as they hire many people with these types of degree. I know that because I interviewed for a job as a social worker one time. They like liberal arts degrees.

You will need a masters for that.

I think getting a psych job with only a bachelors will be tough, personally.

Why would you choose a major field of study if you don't know what you want to do with it? A college degree isn't a hall pass for a job--you have to network, gain skills, and make yourself marketable.
