I'm sorry if a thread has already been started about this, but Forbes has an article and list of the Ghost Cities of 2100. I don't believe in some of the choices but I just wanted to see what you guys think.
Ghost cities? I think it doubtful any of those cities would be completely uninhabited by 2100 and certainly not Venice or Detroit or Mexico City. The world is already prepared to spend billions to save Venice. Forbes does have interesting lists from time to time, but this one is more than a bit fanciful.
I wondered about this same thing. the show Design and Architecture on KCRW, discussed this when the host Frances Anderton went to the Venice Architecture Biennale. It's a very interesting discussion on the way cities are having to be redesigned due to people now moving to major cities.
