PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- A 5.7-magnitude earthquake shook Papua New Guinea early Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported, but there was no immediate tsunami warning.
The quake struck in the Solomon Sea at a depth of 4.3 miles at 2:38 a.m., with its epicenter 43 miles southeast of Kandrian and 290 miles northeast of Port Moresby, the USGS said.
