For me my four choices would be:

1. Vancouver, Canada (This is my home city and will always be my main residence no matter how much money I have)
2. Honolulu, Hawaii (Winter getaway)
3. Singapore (Gateway to Asia)
4. either Perth, Australia or Dublin, Ireland as I'd want a somewhere in both the Southern Hemisphere and Europe.

If I had that much money, I'd have 5 and buy a place both in Perth and Dublin. I like the idea of having all my places in English speaking countries since while I can speak other languages, if I ever get into any trouble at least I know what I'm getting into.

If I had to live in Australia, I would also pick Perth
But when you have a home in Singapore, you would not be far from Australia anyway. So pick a home in Dublin instead, as your European gateway so to speak

Apartment in New York, a Grand Villa in Southern France and a Castle somewhere near London. Maybe some smaller houses in maybe Buenos Aires or Tokyo

Also a nice little summer house north of Copenhagen

1. An apartment in The Dakota in NYC
2. A cottage in Ayr, Scotland
3. A house in Copenhagen, Denmark
4. A house with lots of acres in Montana

I'd also keep the house I have now in Texas because I love it.

I am surprised by the number one choice on your list and that you are considering Dublin as one of your options for option 4.

I thought you would not have Vancouver and Dublin anywhere on your list mostly because of weather reasons.

However, I am not surprised by Singapore and Honolulu.

Great to see you somewhere else on city-data outside the weather forum.

What did you think of my list?

honestly tho im not into ownership or long term residence. i dont have a permanent residence now, i just live in hotels. why would it be any different if i was rich? i would still live in hotels, they would just be nicer.
