Gotta admit, I'd hate living in any one of these cities.

Weather: New York City. It has the warmer longer summers. It also gets much more annual sunshine, and also much more yearly precipitation while still being sunnier.

Quality of life: Paris. New York City is a close second. London is a distant third.

Traffic: Tie.

Restaurants/Food and Shopping: I would say it is a three way tie. All three have plenty of great restaurants and variety in restaurants/food/shopping

Career Opportunities: A three way tie. All three have plenty of great career opportunities.

Scenery: A three way tie overall.

Cleanliness: Paris.

Entertainment/Recreation: A three way tie overall.

Singles Scene: Paris.

Cost of living: Paris. New York City is a somewhat distant second, and London is a very distant third.

Crime: Paris, London a somewhat distant second, and New York City a close third.

Location in the world: A three way tie. Paris and London have a great location in Europe, and New York City a great location in North America.

Residents: Paris, London a somewhat distant second, and New York City a somewhat distant third. However, plenty of great people can be found in all three cities.

Which do you prefer: Paris and New York City are both a tie for first place. London is a distant third place. I still like London but not nearly as much as Paris and New York City.

@ The pastthepresentetc.:
cleanliness and singles scene in Paris are abysmal.
Crime statistics are not good (there is certainly more crime in Paris than in NYC, tie with London)
You must have left Paris a long time ago or experienced it only as a tourist.

I have lived in the London area (Croydon) and in the NYC area (White Plains). I have worked in all three cities and, although I didn't live there, spent a good deal of time in Paris. I also speak French. Honestly, I don't like any of them. They are maybe okay for a long weekend but there are many nicer places to visit.

I agree. All those threads on these cities are getting on my nerves, just like those cities themselves would if I had to live there.
Maybe so many people are fascinated by such huge cities because they have grown up in dead suburbs
