Cost of living Australia?? Houses in Australia are like, five times more expensive than in the average Canadian city. The only thing Australia has over Canada is the weather, for the most part.
I haven't been to Australia. But I've visited a lot of places in Canada. Very nice country overall.
I think Canada's small population size relative to its total land area works to its advantage. It feels like the country is better managed in many ways for that reason, especially compared to the U.S.

Don't forget that Canada's rainfall doesn't follow a drought/deluge pattern every year. It seems like in most of Australia it either doesn't rain, or it rains too much at once. Australia is overrated, IMO, and Canada is underrated
