My boyfriend and I have always wanted to live in a different country, and it's something we are discussing doing in the next few years. We have four pets - two dogs, and two cats. I've heard that there are some countries that, if you're moving from the USA, don't require a quarantine for your pets if they have been in the USA for 6 months or longer, are healthy, and have all of the required vet work done.
My question is, what countries are these? Moving the pets seems like it will be extremely costly already, so I'd love to know what countries don't require a quarantine. That, and I don't really want them to be taken care of by the government for months. I'm open to all suggestions... this is just my first leg of research. The pets are my biggest concern and if they can't come with us, then we won't be going. So knowing where to start would be very helpful. Thank you in advance!
Those were very helpful, and were exactly what I was looking for. The Petrelocation.com is great! it seems to have info on living in other countries with pets, too, which is awesome. Thank you!!
We've personally moved twice internationally with pets. If you have any specific questions on process etc, feel free to DM me.
