Born, raised, and live in the USA.

I've been to:

Asia: China (Beijing), Turkey (Istanbul and Biga), Japan (Okinawa, Naha, Sasebo, and Fukuoka), Malaysia (Kota Kinabalu), South Korea (Seoul), the Philippines (Olongapo and Manila), and India (Mumbai, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Diggi)

Americas: USA (dozens of states), Canada (Windsor, Ontario), and *Bermuda

Australia: Sydney (lived there for three months)

Europe: UK (London and Oxford), France (Paris), and Norway (Oslo)

Out of where I've been overseas, I would return to Sydney, anywhere in India (loved the food), Malaysia, and the UK in a heartbeat. I wasn't crazy about the other places I've been to.

While architecturally stunning, Turkey was the worst due to the overt racism I faced on more than one occasion. Beijing was interesting, but I didn't have the best of times there as I was by myself and staying in a part of the city where there were very few English speakers, which made things more difficult for me.

Places where I'd like to go:

Africa: Ghana (Accra), Nigeria (Lagos), South Africa (Cape Town), and Uganda (Kampala)

Americas: Antigua and Barbuda, Jamaica, Mexico (somewhere safe where the cartels aren't blowing things up), and Peru (LOVE Peruvian food)

By continent:

Canada (Extensively, nearly every province and territory)
USA (All of west coast cities, Hawaii, but just NY and Texas on the east)
Mexico
Bermuda

UK
France
Spain

HK
Macau
Taiwan
China (Separate in my eyes from the three, and won't change...)
Singapore
Malaysia
Japan
S.Korea
Maldives

Australia

Next destination wishlist (after COVID is over...): Italy, Portugal, Greece, Croatia, New Zealand, Brazil, Thailand, Seychelles, Qatar, New Zealand. Still a long long list of vacations to even begin tackling that list (and a long wait before we'd feel comfortable traveling again).

I'm a native of Southern California, and have been to, I think 18 US states including all of the West and Hawaii, but none of the South and only a few spots in the Midwest & East Coast (Oklahoma, Michigan, Maine, Virginia, Pennsylvania).

I've taken short vacations to Canada, both on the West Coast (Victoria & Vancouver) and the Maritimes (New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island), but nothing in the middle.

I've spent five weeks in Japan, visiting Japanese friends who lived in various cities from Tokyo up to Sapporo.

I spent two weeks including Holy Week in Guatemala when my sister and her family were living there in the 1980s. That was an incredible experience.

I went on a brief school tour of major cities and tourist attractions in Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

I would go back to any of those places, but with limited time and resources, I'd probably rather see a new country. My very short list is England, Greece, Iran, New Zealand.

The obvious place I have never been is Mexico, I have been within 10 minutes of the border but never crossed.
