Black = African

these are people of the pacific islands with no relation to any African

This post was obviously created by a race obsessed black american (the equivalent of the race obsessed white americans that constantly plague the European forum with skin color questions)

Completely false statement Africa does not have a monopoly on black skin color these populations do not cluster with Africans the explanation as to why the two unrelated populations look alike is convergent evolution.

Populations is a more accurate term then race when discussing biology. Race is a social construct and a loaded word. These people are more distantly related to Africans than Europeans are.

That is the paradigm you bring to the discussion it suits your needs better. Discussing biology is different than discussing race try educating yourself a little rather than wallowing in ignorance and relying exclusively on stereo types and google.

Biology is far too complex, specialists spend decades studying genes and populations.... that would tell you talking about biology on a forum citing videos from youtube is not exactly a very productive conversation with reliable sources!!!

Race is a social construct, I know that.... but the whole never-ending race/skin color/blonde hair/blue eyed/whiter/blacker/mexicaner conversation Americans often start online and on this forum especially is very tiresome!

Do you dispute convergent biology as a fact? If not then your statement is meaningless.

Some individuals are fascinated by that topic, if it becomes tiresome for you to read then don't read their posts. The topic only becomes problematic for me personally when specific individuals blatantly denigrade specific phenotypes or groups of people. It is understandable in my view that individuals have preferences but when the discussion becomes disrespectful and I catch it I either confront the poster or report them.

or so you would like to believe. These people, along with Native Americans are the most distant genetically from Africans. The farther from Africa geographically, the farther genetically.
