Although the reggae artists from Trinidad and Tobago are good, I was expecting them to sing in a "Creole" language at the very least.

Anyway, here are a couple of songs from Sister Kaya who's an Okinawan-influenced Japanese reggae singer...

Sister Kaya - Nakanai de, Ai shiki Hito yo

Sister Kaya - Jupiter

Some Brazilian reggae...

The most famous and successul reggae bands in Brazil are Cidade Negra and Natiruts. Both can be called "pop reggae".

Cidade Negra:

Natiruts:

(This last videoclip recorded in Cape Verde)

Another famous band that is less "pop" and more "roots" is Tribo de Jah:

Donaleda is a reggae band from my city (Fortaleza), that is very successful here in their home city, and also makes some presentations in other cities and other states:

And if I'm talking about Brazilian reggae, I could not forget to talk about "Reggae Maranhense", the reggae music from the city of Sao Luiz (capital city of the state of Maranhao).

Sao Luiz is called "Brazilian Jamaica", because reggae is the most popular music style there.

They have their own peculiar style of reggae there. Reggae is a cultural industry in Sao Luiz, for the masses! There are gigantic "sound systems" in Sao Luiz, that attract dozens of thousands of dancers. There is a real "competition" between the sound systems. There are popular reggae singers in Sao Luiz that sing both in Portuguese and in English (with a distinct Maranhense accent!!!)

Here is a glimpse of the "Reggae Maranhense" from Sao Luiz:

I confess that I love "Reggae Maranhense", and I'm sad because I don't go to Sao Luiz as often as I would like to go!

Most hottest name if Finland is "Chisu".
This tallent young woman writes her songs,is producer etc.etc.
Here is her latest video:

Chisu - Sabotage (Official video) - YouTube

Here is her live concert and she can change genre like chaneing skirt and she basicly lives her songs thru, here she is more "rock" and country, alternative, pop too...
Sorry about language...Her lyrics are awesome, not "Business as usual".

Roberto Carlos He sings also in Spanish My favorite is his version of "el dia que me quieras"

Luis Miguel(Mexican) he is not that great in my opinion, sometimes his voice annoys me.

Julio Iglesias(enrique's dad) not that great either

Pilita Corrales is a legend in the Philippines.

Here she is singing in her native language, Cebuano:

Balud Sa Kalimot - Pilita Corrales - YouTube

Here she is singing in the official language of the Philippines, Tagalog. This is one of the most famous Filipino songs:

Maalaala Mo Kaya by Pilita Corrales - YouTube

and here she is singing in Spanish:

Pilita Corales - El Mundo (Available in LPCM Audio) - YouTube

I think she has a very beautiful voice.
