Every summer someone in my neighbourhood has to call the city to come and professionally coax a black bear out of a family's yard. There's woods all around us and they come from there on Garbage day, or even just to wander around at any other time. I remember a couple of years ago I was having some friends for drinks on my deck, and one just waltzed in.

There's also many rabbits, seagulls, and chipmunks. I was surprised to learn that chipmunks don't exist in at least Europe, or as far as my girlfriend knows.

We are in SW Fl and are starting to see a lot of bears in urban neighborhoods. I also just recently saw my first Panther, and was shocked how big it was, I thought they were smaller. It ran across the road in front of my car and it looked about the size of a really big dog.

Uhm, where have you seen these?

You forgot city Rabbits, aka Bunnies. I think you were referring to the European hare = rusakko. And hedgehogs, and most importantly: seagulls.

White-Tailed Deer and Roe Deer in the woods around Tapiola (actually a few kilometers outside the Helsinki city limits). They are a common sight in the northern part of Helsinki close to the Vantaa border as well.

True. Forgot the city Rabbits which are hunted by bow and arrow during the night in order to keep the population down. I see more European hare in my neighborhood nowadays. Almost everyday.

Didn't know that. Never spotted one. The closest I've seen them were in Kirkkonummi and Sipoo.
