Here is a fascinating documentary about a man who can do amazingly extraordinary calculations, and he also speaks 10 languages and learnt Icelandic in 7 days and Icelandic is notoriously difficult to learn. So it begs the question do you think we all have the potential to do this or unlock a dormant part of our brain to be able to do this?

I don't know if it has much to do with unlocking as much as it does to do with the brain not functioning correctly.

The reason that some of these people can do those things is because other parts of their Brain are not doing the job correctly. I suppose in the future it could be possible to control that, who knows.

Yes a lot of these people who have these incredible capabilities usually have autism etc but the guy in this documentary is different, he has these incredible capabilities but no sign of the disadvantages usually seen in similar people, he appears to fairly "normal"

I watched the whole video, but only 1 guy out of the whole video really appeared to be normal. I was really glad that they didn't make it look like that guy was going to be able to go in to a casino with no knowledge of black jack and be able to "beat the casino" with a good memory of the cards.

I thought it was well done, and those things are extremely interesting. It's a little bit sad to see, but these "capabilites" are not natural and they only occur because of abnormalities.

I thought the most crazy one was the guy with the memory, that was almost hard to believe.
