Most annoying:
Tagalog
Vietnamese
Spanish (only the Mexican street variety)
Indian (entertaining, though)

Why 'American English'? Why not just plain old English? In terms of the spoken variety, 'American English' tends to refer to an American accent. I think the term 'American English' is more applicable to written English. But before I get carried away...

I wouldn't say I'm a HUGE fan of any foreign accents...but...

Most pleasing:

Scandinavian
French - sometimes

Okay to so-so:

German/Austrian/Swiss
Polish/Eastern European except Russian
Iranian
Arabic
Israeli
Turkish
Japanese
Korean
Mainland China
South American
Indonesian

Annoying:

Dutch
Spanish
Mexican
Russian
Cantonese
Vietnamese
Thai
Pacific Island accents

More funny/amusing than anything else:

Italian
African
South African/Afrikaans
Indian
Singlish - although English is the first language of 40% of Singaporeans

Thanks, growing up, my friends thought so too (of my parents, though).

Most Pleasing

German - Depends on who is speaking english, in general from the north it can sound atrocious. I find when people from south and austria speak english, it's quite plesant (although I'm not fond of their accents in German).

Somali
French
Italian
Brazilian Portuguese
Arabic
Farsi
Hebrew
Russian (particularly female)
Slavic Languages

Not too fond hearing:

Dutch
Indian
Japanese (most asian accents are a bit unfriendly for me)
