Does anyone know if some places are in high demand for people to interpret GIS info and/or remote sensing? I'm a few years away from a degree and think it would be fun to maybe get a work visa somewhere foreign for a year or so before settling down somewhere in Canada, where I live.

I'm open to really anywhere as this is still just a small idea I've been tossing around in my head. I don't even know if this kind of work is booming elsewhere (but I assume it is to some degree, seeing as development is happening all over). Hopefully I can really lock in to a certain location if it offers work. I'm not so concerned about the amount of money as others might be. enough to live somewhere small and go out every now and then will do. I'm sure the experience alone would be worth it.
