Even though I'm American, I don't care much for the modern-day celebrities and pop culture icons in this country for the most part. They just don't appeal to my tastes.

Is it this way in every country? Or are there some countries which have truly fascinating ones these days? (BTW, I also know about Bollywood celebrities and I don't care much for them either.)

Well, Australia doesn't really have people who are famous just for being rich or having connections or making sex tapes so I'd say yes, that's a step up from the USA.

Depends what Country your in since Canada gets all the U.S. feeds and we also get the BBC and have our own shows on the CBC.

I mean Canadian celebs don't stay for long up here but if they get big in the U.S. they get noticed more up here unless it is Hockey.. since most of the top NHL Hockey players get out of town if they do not have a good playoff run or even make the playoffs...

Weird thing about Hockey in Canada is they do alot for their local Community and donate alot of time and their own money to Charity.

I mean sorry for Bieber but hey we also gave the World Rush with Neil Pert one of the best Rock drummers around..

For the record, I've been a gigantic Rush fan since 1980. Will see them when they swing around D.C. this tour.

(But don't tell anybody that. Shhhh...)
