And what exactly is this general continental European attitude about sex and nudity? That sex isn't a bad thing?

With all of you in the U.S. who endlessly ramble on about the urgent need for Americans to emulate every aspect of European this and European that, you'd think that more of us would know what the hell you're talking about by now.

As for sex in the U.S., I don't personally observe a lot of sexual prudishness amongst Americans. While we aren't as publically extroverted about sex as some Europeans might be, I don't think that it's indicative of any sort of sexual repression. The biggest problem, I think, is that many of us tend to be a little too reckless vs. too inactive.

Well plenty of people aren't shy to let it all hang out, at least in the male changerooms/showers.

Trimac, get a girlfriend already and stop obsessing about nudity and the human body.

Perhaps you should accept that many people in your country would love for the US to emulate the European way of life, accept that in many ways Europe is superior and stop acting as if nothing anyone else says is true or factual just because you disagree with it or don't see it occurring in your daily life.

Stop with the unjustifiable cultural snobbery. You're embarrassing.

And if you wish to lecture me or anyone else about the "superior" nature of the "European way of life," then present a coherent, specific outline of what, in your view, the "European way of life" is and why I should appreciate it.

Not holding my breath or anything, but still, just humor me.

If to speak about full nudity, then you do not understand people, if you're on the beach in bikini without problems, positive attitude, you hardly anyone would pay excessive attention. Guys in a Bathing suit or shorts this is normal, girls in bathing suits even if too open and without bra possible, the ratio of the normal. If on the street or on the beach hot, it naturally.

Well, I'm a man of certain age...and I remember vividly a priest throwing stones at bikini-clad women....or when the priests threatened to excommunicate all women wearing jeans.

Or when wearing a bikini amounted to being a prostitute, or women travelling 500 miles to use a bikini far from their town or city.... And all this happened in Europe.

So, Americans do not go from one extreme to the other, they are more classical.

I am sure that their women will wear topless dental floss bikinis in the not so distant future, and European women will wear burkinis in the no so distant future.....why?...because this part of the world goes from one extreme to the other in a short time. That's why ignorants criticize Americans for being this and that, Europeans are "new rich", "new modern", "new progressive", etc.

So you have new rich country bumpkins that are the first in 200 generations in taking a seabath in a swimming trunk, telling americans they are old-fashioned because his old hag shows her t.i.t.s in some beach far away from his neighbours. So we have a lot of paletos here, country bumpkins.

In America that would be called a gay bathhouse.

I wouldn't mind if that was the case in Russia too. But that's the only thing I would copy from America, and only if it doesn't affect other aspects of nudity and sexuality.

It may at times be a bit uncomfortable to be surrounded by what some churchgoer would call a prostitute's parade with elements of an orgy, but it's not too hard to get rid of the discomfort (I meant a more effective fix than what you've thought about ), and continue to enjoy the beauty of life wherever you go.

I really love Russian sexuality. It was better (for the churchgoer - more perverted ) before the Internet, and cameras in everybody's pockets. But it's still great.
