This is how I feel after leaving Stockholm 7 years ago and moving to NorCal!

I know few Swedish families here though. They are happy as clams. Even though they always respond with the same if you ask them what is their backup plan if someone gets seriously sick in the family. They all say they'll pack up the next day and go back to Sweden.
I can't believe I was so stupid to bring my family here from Sweden! I wish it was Mexico or China or smth. Then maybe I would truly feel like I'm in developed country. As for now, I feel like I have voluntarily made decision to raise a family in a 3rd world country (re social safety net).
Can you believe I just had my Master's degree in Public Administration when I moved? I find it VERY IRONIC!
