I recently watched the latest Amazing Spiderman on IMAX 3D. The Dark Night Rises will also be coming out soon.

It got me wondering: How are these superhero movies - like Superman, Batman and Spiderman - received in other countries? Do people relate to these staples of American pop culture?

I think I'll go and see the new Spiderman movie tomorrow night (cheap Tuesday).

American television dominates here, so superhero movies just seem normal. V for Vendetta was quite cool in that it was a british superhero movie, it had a different vibe.

Keep those superhero movies coming.

It's strange is it not that Superman, Batman & Spiderman are all played by Brits.

I don't like any movies that is just a desperate hunt to top each other with special effects.
I like the movies with Christopher Reeves and I liked the tv show The Flash with John Wesley Shipp.

I generally hate them. I liked Kick-Ass, though. Hit-Girl is a fantastic character.

In Russia Hollywood movies are accepted just as well as domestic, but American superheroes are way too primitive to interest anyone, except kids.
