GDP per capita is one of the benchmarks of a country's economic health. So I'm asking - What do you think is roughly the cross-over point between DEVELOPING and DEVELOPED nation status?
I'm asking about this in U.S. dollars (2012 rates) since that's the currency I'm most familiar with. You can convert it to Euros or whatever other currency if you like.
The poorest country with very high human development seems to be Latvia, according to the United Nations, with it's GDP about 13,000 USD. I don't find the poll very well thought, there's an option "40,000 or higher" even though it's almost impossible that someone would honestly vote for that, and at the same time there's no option below 15,000 even though it's very realistic that someone would want to vote for lower amount (i.e., the United Nations).
