Which city do you like the best: Paris (France), Montreal (Canada), or New Orleans (USA)? Why?

Paris at night is beautiful, but... New Orleans! It's home; )

(Sorry, but haven't been to Montreal, yet.)

I *really* want to see Montreal.
I liked what I saw of New Orleans, but we never got there until after Katrina.
So far, Paris rules, but I tend to think each city has its own set of very different qualities.

I like them all equally...I have been to all three...but I would never live in any of them. Paris is too big and noisy, Montreal is too cold, and New Orleans is a crime-infested cesspit.

I love visiting all three, though.

Been to all three and like all three for various reasons. However, I actually do not think the three have much in common beyond the French Connection.

Paris is a world class city and speaks for itself. Montreal is a cool city and lots of fun, but not in the same league as Paris, although few cities are. New Orleans (Pre Katrina) actually has more in common with Rio than any Francophone city. Great place for fun, but is woefully corrupt and dangerous.

I would live in Paris under the right, ideal condtions, which are near impossible. I would not want to live in Montreal, although the thought is far from horrible as I have spent a lot of time there. If a company assigned me there for a year or so, that would be fine.

New Orleans would be a good place for someone fresh out of college looking to write a novel or screenplay and enjoy the cheap rent and drinks. Good place to be unambitious or a functioning alcoholic. I am long past that and thus could not live there but that's just me. I was hoping the city would evolve into something else post-Katrina.

I am sorry to hear that so many have a low opinion of us in the NOLA area.

Moth, LOL, the days of cheap rent in NOLA are over.

Note my use of the term, "Pre-Katrina".

Besides, compared to where I have lived (New York), most places are cheap by comparison.

A put down is a put down. Sorry you feel that way about us; have a nice day.

Oh, not at all. More of a facetious statement. I love New Orleans. A truly unique and special place.
