Read from another thread on CD that if the United States, European Union or China collapsed they would affect each other. A few other countries might be affected also.

Are there any countries that would NOT be affected if any of those three or all three collapsed?

How about Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and South Africa? I could be totally wrong, but those are my guesses.

Can you name three countries that aren't dependent upon the developed world buying natural resources or sending foreign aid cheques?

The Amish, Rainbow Gathering, the tribes of the Amazon, Congo, and Papua New Guinea. Bhutan. The Inuit, maybe.

Vatican City probably!!! They will always be there.

Also, countries like Haiti, Somalia, etc can't really collapse any more, except maybe they will get less foreign aid.

Actually countries like Haiti, Somalia etc would be affected. Less aid, less sympathy for their plight and a whole lot more knock on effects.

Hmm..

I think there are so many links between all countries today that every country might be affected. E.g. for ressources demand, tourism, foreign aid...

However some least affected may be:
Mongolia
North Korea

As our economies further intertwine, it would be hard to suggest any county that wouldn't be affected by a collapse in one of the big 3.
