Trolltunga (Norway)

I thought geographic features like this existed only in the deranged imaginations of Looney Tunes storyboarders.

Those pictures of Norway and China are outstanding!

Although I know there is stunning scenery in nearly every region of the world, for me, the answer is Canada:

Here is Mount Assiniboine and Sunburst peak, on the British Columbia/Alberta border

Toad River valley, British Columbia

Tombstone Territorial Park, Yukon Territory

Mt. Thor, Nunavut

Saskatchewan

Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump: This cliff was used by Natives to run herds of Buffalo off. More efficent that way lol

Manitoba

eh........I guess I can stop there lol Still alot more Canada to go, and I don't want to clutter this up anymore than I already have.

I wish I could have found some better pics though.

Well, I can say it may not be the most beautiful place in scenery alone, but as far as places I have traveled, Tanzania in East Africa had a significant amount of beauty with the combination of natural scenery and wildlife.. Here are some pictures I took from my safari about 7-8 years ago:

Male African Lion coming up to our car in Ngorongoro Crater:

Hippos drying off after a bath in the pond in Ngorongoro:

Giraffe and Zebra standing next to each other in Serengeti

And, of course, the legendary African sunset.. The sun setting behind a Baobab tree in Tarangire National Park

As far as the most beautiful place in scenery alone, where I have been, that would have been Glacier National Park in Montana. The Wallowa mountains in NE Oregon also qualify as being one of the most immensely scenic places I have seen. The Columbia Gorge in Oregon/WA also has a special place in my heart, but has become too crowded for me to enjoy it anymore. However, I do still believe it is one of the most beautiful places. The Central Oregon Coast also has many gems. I just moved to Washington state and think this state has plenty of gems that will rival anywhere in the world, but I need to do some exploring and take some pics. Mount Rainier on a clear day from Tacoma is a site that leaves me breathless every time.

Wow. So many breathtaking photos, it makes me kind of sad though that I will probably never travel to most of those places. But at least I can enjoy the photos.
