It is nice to see someone not mentioning New York City for the USA with this “you can only visit one place in country x” game.

New York City gets too much attention sometimes, and it can be such a provincial, congested, tense, fast paced, loud, dirty, expensive, chaotic, and overrated city. That is coming from someone that lived in New York City for a large part of my life (I also lived in Seattle) and I need a break from NYC right now.

There is still plenty that I enjoy about New York City, but that is also true for my opinions about lots of other places in the world too, and NYC still has some flaws/weaknesses that some people seem to blindly forget and ignore.

I rather be in Seattle or Portland recently for some examples compared to New York City. In plenty of ways, those 2 cities have a higher quality of life than New York City.

And it may come as a surprise, but Seattle/Portland people on average seem more worldly, smarter, and peaceful than New York City people.

For most countries in the world, I prefer to visit more than one place in each country. However, I do see the appeal for this thread topic game.

Anyways, for India: Very close competition between Mumbai, Delhi, Shimla, Amritsar, Srinagar, Indian Himalayas, and some tropical beaches.

I guess for now I select Delhi.

Next country: China
