Despite its mountainous and landlocked location, Switzerland does have direct access to the sea via the Rhine river. Basel is Switzerland's only cargo port, as goods pass through this city on their way to the North Sea port of Rotterdam.

Can't be, Hawaii is much further south than any part of California. Last time I heard San Diego is the closest mainland city to Hawaii.

Besides being the driest and coldest continent, Antarctica is also the highest. Its average elevation is 6000 feet.

In order to drive from Detroit, to Windsor, Ontario, across the Ambassador bridge, you are going SOUTH.

The most southerly point in Canada is Middle Island, in Lake Erie. 27 US States are either completely, or partly to the NORTH of that point.

Cape Race, in Newfoundland, is the MOST easterly point of North America.

The Trans Canada Highway is the longest highway in the world that is in ONE country. It is 7824 kilometres, or 4869 miles in length.

The Ontario highway, number 401, is the busiest in terms of traffic , per day, of any in North America. It runs from Windsor, Ontario, to the Quebec Provincial boundary, a distance of 815 kilometres.
