Why is he not worthy? Apart from being a flaming capitalist, what has he ever done wrong? (did he cheat on Posh or no?)
I didn't say he was unworthy, just that there are others who have done things to progress, helped and enlighten mankind whom I feel have contributed more. On a scale of 0-100 on my personal "Worthinessometer" he wouldn't be at the top.

As to his fidelity or alleged infidelity how on earth would I know and how would that matter?

Um, lots of people lose public support after being exposed for infidelity (Bill Clinton, Tiger Woods, etal). Just thought you might know about the one alleged affair that Becks may have payed off to keep silent. Which is important because Beckham presents himself as a family man/committed husband and father.

No more than anyone else. The British tabloid press scrapes it's stories from it's own arse much of the time. "Oh, there's no scandal this week, I know, let's make up some more crap.... hmm, who shall we choose this week? I know, we haven't done a sportsman for a month, it'll be Beckham's turn!"...

I'd trust a tabloid reporter about as far as I could spit one.

Yeah, I guess I will go with Obama, as it is probably whomever is US President. Pele is also a great choice, as well as Beckham, and the Dalai Lama.
