China in everything but GDP (not for long), GDP per capita, but the gap may be closing. In some areas China is ahead of the US. Not that i'm a China booster or everything just saying they are a genuine contender. Nobody else is even on the radar.

I completely agree.
I'm Chinese but born and raised in the US. China in some ways has surpassed the US, like military power, manufacturing, urbanization, and infrastructure.
On the power and influence scale, its half way there but it's never going to reach the US's status. China is the antithesis to innovation and creative class. US is the absolute winner on per capita basis and sheer influence while China has the edge on size. Agree completely with no other country being on the radar, if I had to choose then Japan as a distance third.
Except China, no one country competes, but the EU as a trans-national bloc is in some aspects more powerful (bigger economy, better built form, scientific institutions like CERN and ITER, higher population).

Military power? No. Not even close. They have a lot of people, and that's about it. The technology in their military is nothing compared to the United States.
Manufacturing? Once again, no chance at all. They are big with manufacturing like now because their people are worked like slaves and paid peanuts. International corporations come in and take advantage of that, nothing more. They have not surpassed american manufacturing, on top of that.. the quality that comes from China is nearly always low quality. There's a reason China is hitting hard times..

How in the world is the EU built better??? Is this a joke? My guess is the EU won't even be the EU in 10 years.
The European Union could easily rival the United States as a combined force. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind. If the EU functioned as a country in a similar way to the United States, then the current crisis probably wouldn't even exist.
Why don't you ask this on a sub-forum where people actually care? Such as the 'my ego needs constant validation' forum.
LOLOLOLOL
good one!
So, lets all agree on: No country can even dream of compiting against the US on anything.
Now, close this thread.
Thanks
