Having many different races in your country is meaningless if one race dominates. The US is 70% White, Canada, Australia, France & the UK are more than 80% white, and South Africa is roughly 80% Black. None of that sounds diverse at all.

As for the majority of the population being mixed race...again, not that diverse if they're only mixed with two or three races.

Multiracial does not equal Multicultural.

In the United States you have many races but a very homogenous culture.... a Mexican-American (whose family has been in the USA for 2+ generations) is more culturally similar to an Asian-American (whose family has been in the USA for 2+ generations) compared to a Mexican national.

A place like China or India is actually probably more multicultural, or maybe a nation with a great amount of 1st generation immigrants from all over the world (UAE, Qatar, Bahrain)

What makes the US more multi-cultural than countries like Russia and China?

Well it is in some regards but there's that British cultural atmosphere eeverywhere. Some parts may have a lotof iIndiana, Arabs etc but when you get down to it London is a English city with patches of outside influences.

Real multicultural cities would have different districts that have completely different cultural atmospheres where people have a strong tradition that they keep not assimilating into the dominate culture. Probably like the onea in Asia.

Because the US has people from literally every country in the world. There's even diversity in the migrants who come from each country.

Russia is home to 150 nations who are not migrants. Several major religions (which are supported by the state) and dozens of the official languages.

Interesting that you say that. White Britons are a minority in London and everytime I've been it definitely felt very multicultural. Then again, I've mostly stayed in Peckham, Brixton, Hackney and Leyton lol
