Asians only make 5.8 percent of the population. That's so little since it seems like it would be higher. But I don't think they will ; I think the Hispanic population will always outnumber the Asian population no matter what. I honestly think because China is rising economically, people are more inclined to move to China or stay there. Do you realize how many Americans move to China a year?

I think the big problem with concern over immigration numbers is the fact that eventually, immigration will level out as economic conditions level out. People will be less motivated to move their entire livelihood if they think they can make it in their home country.

Birth rates however, are something entirely else to contend with.

None of them in my lifetime! Though it certainly is within the realm of possibility for Australia, Canada, and New Zealand - especially for Australia and New Zealand by virtue of proximity to Asia, and distance from Latin America and Africa....

I really hope Asians do something about the negative image Hollywood gives of them to the world.

Just take a trip to UK and Ireland and you could just picture most of the people on streets being random white americans visiting europe (just with different accents and maybe clothing), but then go to germany, poland, netherlands, sweden or Italy, most people look foreign/alien for the bulk of white americans, and you can easily spot a group of white americans in those countries, just by the way they look, much more than in the UK/Ireland.
This is utterly untrue. White Americans look very little like British people, and tend to look a lot more German/Polish/Czech/Irish/Scandinavian/Italian/Greek/Croatian/African/Hispanic/Native, etc, based on the region. That includes British isles influence, but it's the typical insecure British ego, wanting to somehow claim the US as an ethnically British state to be able to malign it in all the same ways you do the UK, as well as to be able to claim American culture and esteem as a product of the "mother country". It's kind of pathetic.

Its and old Thread, but between 2006 and 2016 census, the Australian Population went up 3.6 million, roughly split 1.7 Million Australian Born, 1.9 Million Overseas born. About 1.4 Million of the 1.9 Million immigrants were Asian. Taking into account the people of Asian ancestry born in Australia, its certainly very possible that people of Asian Anscestry made up more than half the population growth in Australia over the 10 year period.
