These are a lot of the best first world countries with relatively free markets, personal freedom, and Life-Work Balance:

Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Taiwan, Canada, Australia.

I am surprised nobody directly said the Netherlands up to now.

Netherlands appears to be the excellent role model for being a wealthy, practical, efficient country that is also very laid back, easygoing, a lot of personal freedom, and about a lot of fun/leisure outside of work such as smoking marijuana and partying in clubs/bars. I love that kind of paradox and it can go well for society.

The other countries I said above that qualify appear similarly well balanced as the Netherlands.

Countries such as Japan, South Korea, China, USA, UK/England don’t qualify because they seem to not have that good of a Life-Work balance compared to those other countries. It appears too much about work, having extra stress for work, compromise/sacrifice for quality of life with anything work related.

Countries such as Thailand, Italy, Spain don’t qualify for other reasons. It is a lot about Life balance there but not enough for Work and probably a bit of a slacker culture. If the economy gets better for those places (well it is for Thailand) and keeping that Life balance but also having more focus on work, then they could qualify for this topic.

Life is about so much more than just work. If someone focuses on other parts of their lives outside of work, it can actually help maximize their productivity/skills/clarity when they work after they feel mentally/spiritually well and empowered.
