Yes it doesn't look Indonesian at all i would say, even though its populated with Asian they're not Indonesians.
I don't really see any parts of Indonesia should belong to another sovereignty, since most of the islands already have different culture anyway.
Similar Malay dialect is spoken by the Malaccan Malay in Malaysia and Bintan in Riau islands, Indonesia, but most of the population seem to have no interest of leaving Indonesia. Beside the Malays originated from Sumatra.

Many have already been said but, Northern parts of North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin are more like Canada. Southern Ontario more like the US. Imperial County, CA could easily be part of northern Baja.
The Belgian province of Luxembourg could join the country of the same name. Likewise for Belgian Limburg.
The area of northwestern France, around Dunkirk, can be part of Flanders.
