Greece, my God: I didn't realize it was that bad. I love the people, I love the country, but how they ever managed to enter the euro, I'll never understand .
Argentina (102) = 6th most corrupt country in South America, WOW!
Only Bolivia (105), Ecuador (118), Guyana (133), Paraguay (150) and Venezuela (165) rank lower.
Chile and Uruguay are both tied at 20, Brazil is 69th.
I find it hard to believe that Argentina is more corrupt than Colombia (94) and even Peru (83)/Suriname (88).
Always thought Argentina was one of the least corrupted countries of S.America, not to far from Chile and Uruguay, guess i was wrong.
It is developed but there is still of poverty in Argentina compared to Uruguay and Chile, maybe thats caused by corruption?
The poverty in Argentina is caused by extreme political mismanagement. There is no other reason. The population is educated, the agriculture is excellent, there are natural resources, and lots of tourist dollars.

Argentina has a large history of populism and mismanagement, it's a paradox. In the beggining of the 20th century, Argentina was richer than France. And, yes, there is poverty in Argentina, Buenos Aires and many other cities have large slums - although argentinians, unlike brazilians, have no pride of the slums, to the point to show them to the world in movies.
