FYI Australia is not officially an island.

For me, in no order:

3. Sri Lanka

4. Borneo

5. Big island of Hawaii

6. Tasmania

7. New Guinea

8. Crete/Corsica tied

9. Madagascar

10. Taiwan

Runners up: Sumatra, South Island of NZ, Tasmania, Vancouver Island, Long Island, Iceland, Greenland, Sardinia, Rhodes, Singapore, Bali, Hokkaido, New Caledonia, Reunion, Fiji, Oahu, Kauau, Sicily, Jamaica

What is your "official" source for that information?

How about Manhattan, and Montreal? Those are some pretty neat islands. I am partial to New Caledonia, Taiwan, any of the four Japanese home islands, Great Britain, Madagascar, Sardinia, Sri Lanka, Salsette Island (Bombay/Mumbai is on it), North Island New Zealand, Reunion and Iceland. That's more than ten though.

Well I don't really consider Manhattan a 'true island', but if it was included it'd definitely be in the top 10 I think, or at least top 15.

If you had to commute there every day with the other hundreds of thousands of people trying to cross the water at the same time you would!

What would constitute a true island? The land has to be farther from the next nearest land, I'm guessing? How far? Just wondering.
