Actually because of their situation Benelux, France and Spain should'nt be in their time zone, but on GMT.

Because Spain is almost situated more to the west than the UK; while being in central Europe time, it creates a time gap.

As noted above, Spain's westerly position in 'Central European Time' means that its sunsets are pretty late, later than you might think for the latitude (latest sunset in Barcelona is 21:29, sunset in my northern England city is 21:41, in Rome it's 20:49 ), but the days are significantly longer here than in Barcelona, the sun here, at its earliest, rises at 04:35, and 06:17 in Barcelona. Also, twilight here lasts all night for for part of May, all of June and July, but that is not the case in Barcelona. It starts getting noticeably light here at around 2am in June.

Am I wrong by saying Spain has long days in summer? (sun until 10pm) no I am not... the comparisons were made by others. I never mentioned north or UK

I said when I lived in UK it used to get dark around 20h which was early for me, I was in London by the way, after that people started an interesting debate about time zones and sunrise times.

I still like the long days by the way... as I said in my list.

^^ In London, during June, the latest sunset is 21:22, which is comparable to Barcelona, and not a million miles behind somewhere like Vigo in Galicia.

In June days are longer than in August, we can feel days get shorter from late June.
