Chavez was not a dictator. If anything, he was an anti-dictator. Whether you agreed with him or not, you cannot call him a dictator.

Frankly, many countries would be lucky to have such a strong leader who came from a genuinely poor background. He was not perfect, but he did more good than harm in standing up to US imperialism and exploitation of the South American continent in general.
