The truth is both countries have their strengths and weaknesses. I'm open minded enough to understand this very clearly and i've also made that clear in city vs city comparisons. Canada is closer to Socialism than the U.S is (but less so than our European counterparts whom we typically lose out to in these rankings and bloody Australia lol), so when inequality is taken into account it performs better than the U.S. That isn't to say i'm not dissapointed that we have been slipping in both HDI and IHDI so we have some work to do as well. Most of my posts are designed to provide an honest perspective based on my views - they aren't anti-anything. Regardless, i'm not jealous of the U.S and i'm happy where I am but I actually really do like the U.S, have American relatives and visit often. In the case of U.S and Canada i'm hopelessly Bi lol..
An honest opinon i cant tell you how many ignorant post you have said regarding toronto.

C'mon here; who has the inferiority complex, Canadians responding to you or you for coming on here with posts about how great the U.S. is with comments like that bolded above when you read rebuttals you do not like.
Do me a favor go to city vs city they are doing the opposite in trying to bring up America. I was drinking a cup of coffee when i read your last sentence and almost spit it out because i was laughing so hard.

That's ridiculous that you would mention that then, it's completely irrelevant to the HDI and the way you stated it was misleading. India employs more people than Canada to, that's not an accomplishment for a country with a billion people compared to one with 30 million so it should not be mentioned in the same breath as the other accomplishments you were listing, because it's meaningless.

That's ridiculous that you would mention that then, it's completely irrelevant to the HDI and the way you stated it was misleading. Brazil employs more people than Canada to, that's not an accomplishment for a country with hundreds of millions of people compared to one with 35 million so it should not be mentioned in the same breath as the other accomplishments you were listing, because it's meaningless.

Which is a more accurate representation of human develepment because it factors in everyone in a society. I wrote about IHDI vs HDI but it in an earlier post but didn't get much attention lol.

Oh pleeease give us a break with tose "marvelous" Arctic countries. Go live there if you wish.
A country of 5 million people sitting on an oil field (Norway) has a better human development index than the US. What a feat. I guess they would be penguins they still would have it better...

And I reiterate for you that these posts are started mostly by you folks posting how great you are.

A truly great country's citizens will very likely restrain their pride to that of immediate confrères as there is no need to convince the rest of us. We're just not that interested in YOUR telling us.

We can all read and some of us can even disseminate information in a linear fashion without bending it to suit a sandbox ego trip.

Do you really suppose there is anybody on these boards that doesn't know enough about your country to come to their own informed conclusions about what you have to offer your citizens by way of quality of life?

Are you by chance drknoble's sister?? Just ask'n.
