By total # DC is ahead by 100 more HNWI's but Houston and Dallas will surpass it soon (next year with trends) since they have the fastest growing salaries in the US and 2nd and 3rd fastest growing HNWI populations (sans SF Bay Area). DC lacks to Houston, Dallas, and Chicago in big corps and folks that control the economy and its growth in the top 1% income earners has slowed down thanks to spending cuts.

Miami has a large billionaire population (tie with Dallas for 4th in the US behind NYC, SF Bay Area, and LA and right before Chicago and Houston) but the HNWI's in Miami claim other cities as their main billing address.

Well with so many upscale locations in the Bay Area like Atherton, Los Altos Hills, Parts of Marin County, Blackhawk, etc. it doesn't surprise me the Bay Area is ranked #2.

I thought there would be more than one Canadian city on the list. Its also very surprising to see Sydney sitting higher than Singapore.
