I have an interest in all of these cities, ESPECIALLY Haifa. Which despite having never been, is probably among the smaller cities that interests me the most. Adorable city actually, cute, adorable.
All four are in a population range between 1-2.2 million people.
Anyhow we'll compare the four head on:
- Most vibrant
- Architecture
- Educational institutions
- Cultural institutions
- Shopping
- Dining
- Foods
- Economic strength (industries, average wages, educational attainment, so on)
- Nearby scenery
- Safety
- Unique neighborhoods
- Parks
- Suburbs
- Location
Of the 4 I have only been to Haifa and Amman. I would pick Haifa over Amman as it is coastal and a port city. Haifa also is the center of the Bahai religion and their beautiful temple gardens are not something to be missed when visiting.
I've actually been to all these besides Antalya, so I wont rank it.
- Most vibrant- Beirut
- Architecture- Amman
- Educational institutions- Haifa
- Cultural institutions- Haifa
- Shopping- Tied between all 3
- Dining- Beirut and its not even close
- Foods- Beirut
- Economic strength (industries, average wages, educational attainment, so on)- Haifa
- Nearby scenery- Occupied Northern Palestine is lovely(Haifa included), but Northern Lebanon is beautiful. Great ruins in the South though its much more impoverished.
- Safety- Amman. Violence seems to breakout in Beirut every 5 years and Haifa has been targeted by Palestinian militants. Amman is very safe all around.
- Unique neighborhoods- Beirut, a huge
- Parks- Haifa
- Suburbs- Amman
- Location- all relatively similar
