I hope so. I wouldn't feel so bad about disarming our nuclear deterrent if other nuclear powers did so as well (especially Russia & China), but that isn't going to happen.

Who cares who has more of nuclear warheads? We'll all be dead anyway. I'm just happy that civilized nations like the UK and France have enough nukes to wipe out half of the planet, and I don't even have to pay for them. Half of the planet is enough, no matter if the US and Russia have the force to wipe out the Earth 4 times and take Venus and Mars with them.

edit: For the record, a month ago it would've been a political suicide to try to raise our military budget, and recently buying 100 tanks from the NL raised many eyebrows. Now after Crimea, it would be a political suicide NOT to raise the military budget during the next electorial period.
