Oh give me a break - there is migration between the two borders for career purposes... Canada and the U.S have the biggest trading partnership in the world. Thousands is nothing there are millions of ethnic minorities that have good jobs in Canada....It is again a perfect example of getting selective anecdotal evidence to make a sweeping generalization that is false.

Nevertheless, this is a far cry from diversity. Nothing against the UK, I'm just using it as an example because it is perceived as more international than other European nations.
It doesn't matter who is attacking who, it's racial tension regardless.

It'd be easier to compare foreign-born resident as I believe places like Sweden don't really do ethnicity. 2010 estimates put the foreign-born population at 11.9%, an increase of 50% over the previous decade. Probably a lot higher now, and that is only an estimate.

Great replies~
dunno- That is a great point. However, I am curious- how many of these "foreign-born" people are from Scandinavia or Europe. I wouldn't be surprised if many Norwegians and Germans were in this count. Many germans have homes in Sweden.
paull- Manchester is diverse for world standards, but it is pretty average when compared to many Canadian and American cities. Who "voted" for this anyways? Europeans? 60% of people come from the same ancestry, while 67% are caucasian. (2011) That is comparable to US cities like Pittsburgh, Columbus, and Indianapolis. I can almost guarantee you that you will never find an American who associates any of these cities with "diversity."
trimac- Yes, but the US has a large number sparsely populated counties. Most people do not live in Caribou County, Idaho. Look at the 100 largest American cities. Almost all of them are more diverse than UK cities, other than London (although many are just as or more diverse than London).
Like I said, the UK is diverse for Europe, but not really diverse compared to North America.

What source did you use for your list of most developed countries - criteria, study etc? Please don't say anything anecdotal
