For those of you that have lived (or traveled) in both Western Europe and America, what do you think the biggest differences are between the people? Attitudes, culture, etc.

I'll forgive you since you are new, but this topic has been covered many many times in the past few years. There's a thread on this, literally at least once a month or every two months.

Watch different sports, celebrate different holidays, speak different languages.

aside from that we are very similar thanks to globalization and advanced technology.

Sorry about posting a thread that was already covered. I did a search first but I didn't see anything with the same question.

West Europeans tend to be bilingual or multilingual. Americans haven't mastered their own language yet, in many cases.

The united states is one country with one main language and culture. Western Europe is a collection of completly different countries, with different cultures, languages, hidtories, mentalities, pop cultures, literatures, ect.

If you want to compare the US with somethibg that is comparable you have to choose one European country. Or compare the whole Europe with the whole america (canada, mexico, brasil, usa, argentina, ect.

The World forum is probably a more fitting place for this thread. As others have said, USA vs Europe threads are plenty, you can check them via the forum search function. None seems to exactly match yours though.
